FOIL-VTG

The Vintage Index

Cardboard that survived, priced on what is left.

Planned

Methodology for this index is still in development. No indicative valuation, portfolio or performance figure is published for it.

Positioning

A portfolio of pre-1980 issues across sports, where supply is finished, survivorship is documented in grading population reports, and pricing rests on condition scarcity rather than on print runs.

Intended portfolio composition

Illustrative top holdings for The Vintage Index. These are examples of eligible asset types, not an actual or final portfolio.

Index methodology

Population-weighted selection
Assets are screened against graded population at and above their grade, so scarcity is measured rather than asserted.
Provenance
Preference for assets with a documented ownership or auction history.
Condition banding
Exposure spread across grade bands, because the vintage market's liquidity is not evenly distributed across them.
